The National Bank Elevator Pitch Competition is a startup event that showcases the University of Ottawa’s youngest and sharpest entrepreneurs to compete against one another for prize money of up to $20 000. The competition is divided into 2 categories; Validation and Traction. The Validation category consists of companies that have not generated any revenue or have not been funded by any outside investors and are therefore validating their business model. They will be evaluated on innovation, presentation and viability by our Validation judging panel. The Traction category consists of companies that have generated revenue or have raised capital through outside investors. They will be evaluated on opportunity and strength in the marketplace by our Traction judging panel. Each company will have 2 minutes to pitch with a 1 minute Q&A portion from the judges. At the end of the evening, the judges will decide which companies will win the competition for their respective categories.

Vincent & Francois Theriault - Co-Founders of Surmesur

The 5 finalists for each category will be presenting in-front of our prestigious judging panel:
Catherine Geci - Business Development Manager at Startup Garage
Code Cubitt - Managing Partner at Mistral Ventures
Dominique Harrison - National Bank Representative
Leigh Harris Fowell - CEO of Halo Management Consulting Inc.
